Sloane has once again hit it out of the park. Watch Me took a well used trope and put a modern spin on it.Nikolai, or Nik, has been tasked by his best friend and boss, Mike, to accept a position on his current contract. This is a literal make or break contract for Mike and the person that the are supposed to be protecting has ditched and even paid off the last two people.Jude, the protectee, is an intense individual. He doesn't believe that he needs protection, therefore does everything to ditch the guards. Nik and Jude get off to a rocky start and really doesn't smooth out.Nik finds that the more he is around Jude, the more he discovers how unique he is and that his initial assessment was wrong. Jude isn't trying to ignore or piss most people off, he just is wired to think and process things a bit differently.Sloane takes Jude's diagnosis of ADHD and Dyslexia and relates real life experiences. She is sensitive to the discussion but doesn’t try to sugarcoat the situations and experiences.This is a Definite 5-star read.
